My Bio

Alyssa is a dynamic facilitator, recovering HR professional, and educator with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and organizations grow. Her career spans Human Resources management, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, community programming, and nearly a decade as a Professor of Human Resources at Centennial College’s Business School.

She has taught and designed courses in:

Alyssa’s HR leadership experience includes full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, policy development, payroll oversight, unionized environments, and workplace culture development. She is valued for her ability to blend strategic thinking, empathy, humour, and tactical clarity, helping teams navigate challenges while building trust and capability.

As a facilitator, she is known for her engaging style, inclusive approach, and ability to make complex concepts accessible, memorable, and actionable. She has designed and delivered training for diverse audiences, from youth in community programs to executives in hospitality and professional services.

She holds a Master’s degree in Adult Education & Community Development from the University of Toronto, is pursuing her PhD in the same field, and previously earned her CHRP designation along with advanced HR training from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She also completed professional coach training through the Adler School of Professional Coaching, and most recently engaged in Solution-Focused, Brief Coaching.
